Alzheimer's Association Greater Maryland

Since 1980, the Greater Maryland Chapter, which began as a support group at Johns Hopkins, has grown to an organization with 27 staff and over 300 volunteers serving the entire State of Maryland. The organization services 14,000 people a year through a full array of essential services including over 50 support groups, a 24-hour Helpline, respite care grants, Safe Return and educational programs. Through its advocacy and public policy efforts, the Alzheimer's Association is a vital force for enhancing the quality of dementia care, for promoting supportive services for caregivers and for increasing federal funding for Alzheimer's research. Chad Malkus currently serves as the President of the Board of Directors of the Greater Maryland Chapter.
